2 long standing records were also broken this year :-
Steven Halstead broke the 1990 record for the senior boys breastroke.
1990 record 32.42 secs
2007 record 32.34 secs
Alyce Tunnicliffe broke the 1988 record for the junior girls backstroke.
1988 record 18.20 secs
2007 record 15.43 secs
Well done to both.
The pool website appears to have disapeared, but alternative contact details are here. We understand that they currently have places still available for childrens lessons – contact them for details.
They also have details of the ‘H’ Squad, Triathlon and many other new sessions available. The pool program for Easter is also posted in reception – go easy on those Easter Eggs!.
HVASC club program continues as normal, building to the gala finals after Easter – Thanks to all those who took part or helped, and good luck to the finalists.
Also well done to all those who took part in the recent length swims. As usual many young swimmers exceeded everyone’s expectations and swam further than they had before.

Please note that on the nights of the gala 24 April and 26 April we will only hold swimming lessons from 7.00-7.20. If your normal lesson commences at 7.00 please come along, if your lesson commences 7.30 or 8.00 please do not come on either of these nights,

Trophy presentations will be held on both nights following completion of all the events.
The time-scale for these nights is tight and we need to keep on schedule. If you are entering any of the events please ensure that you are ready to take your places on the poolside by 7.30 – if you arrive late you may miss your event.
